Royal Ambassadors

RAs provide an opportunity for boys to develop biblical character in addition to growing spiritually, physically, mentally, and in relationships with others.  Royal Ambassador Leaders utilize activities that are designed to help boys learn about God’s mission, participate in on-mission activities, pray for and give to missions, develop and use mission skills, and learn about and support the mission work of their church and denomination.  The purpose of Royal Ambassadors is found in the RA Pledge and Motto. Boys and their leaders are encouraged to make a commitment to live out the words of the Royal Ambassador Pledge and Motto.

Sundays 4:30 - 6:00 pm

Royal Ambassadors is a Southern Baptist mission education organization administered through the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union). This group is for boys in grades 1-6.

What is Royal Ambassadors?

The RA Pledge:  As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best to become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ;  to have a Christlike concern for all people;  to learn how to carry the message of Christ around the world;  to work with others in sharing Christ; and to keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body.

The RA Motto :  “We are Ambassadors for Christ,” not only gives the organization its name, but also gives the boys and leaders a lifestyle goal. This Motto is taken from Scripture: “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20 .

RA Congress –  The Royal Ambassadors in the Tates Creek Baptist Association not only have a great time of racing, missions shootout and knot tying competitions, but the RA’s, leaders and parents that attend are always blessed by a guest speaker who is usually one of our missionaries.  What a great time of fellowship!

Campcraft – Outdoor Living Skills is a vital tool for reaching and equipping adults, youth and children to be on mission with God. Living outdoors is the ideal environment to become aware of the Creator and all that he has created. Camping provides a unique opportunity for men to learn and share about their relationship with Christ.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”  Proverbs 27:17

Our group participates in the Linden Valley, Tennessee Camporee, Camp Courage at Laurel Lake, Kentucky, and various hikes and camp outs around our local area.

Mission Projects – The RA’s participate in many mission projects, local and around the world.  Some of our recent projects were Lottie Moon Christmas offering, Grace Now, The Bucket Project (Hospice Kits), Christmas in July, Treats for the Troops, and Baptist Global Response.
